Bindings Image Collection Bibliography

Some database entries are accompanied by "Literature" fields, citing published descriptions or research into that particular binding.

The following list reproduces and adds to the bibliography from the 1992 catalog Fine and Historic Bookbindings, providing full citations for "Literature" notes and a list of titles for additional research. As part of our ongoing work, we plan to revise this bibliography to bring it up to the present, and would welcome additional literature recommendations.

For a list of chronological list of new titles published since 2008, see the Nieuwe Literatuur page at the website of the Belgisch-Nederlands Boekbandengenootschap.
