General Information
Turnaround time on most orders is four to six weeks from receipt of prepayment. Rush services are not available. We ask that all requests be submitted in writing, via email, fax, or mail service.
Information We Need
To locate and examine materials in the collection and provide a written estimate for prepayment, we require as much information as possible about the item being requested. This includes:

Information about the source of the image:

A citation including author, title, publication date, and Folger call number if possible

For images reproduced in modern publications, any citation that appears with the image, bibliographic citation for the modern work, and perhaps a paper copy of the image or a brief written description of it

Type of reproduction desired

Whether the image is to be used for research or publication
To Place an Order
Print out an order form to place your request, or fill out an online order form . Completed order forms may be faxed or mailed to the Photography Department. You may also send a letter or email that includes the information indicated on the order form.
We will send you a formal estimate and prepayment form after reviewing your request.
Complete the prepayment form and return it to the Photography Department with payment. We accept checks in US dollars, which must be drawn from a US bank. Credit card payment may be made using Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Your order will be started upon receipt of prepayment.
