On the eve of her retirement, Director Gail Kern Paster will discuss her time and experiences at the Folger in a discussion moderated by Folger Board Member, David Gardner. Champagne toast to follow.

Spend an hour or the afternoon getting to know the Folger.
12 PM Reading Room Confidential
Don't have a PhD and a letter of recommendation? No problem! You're still welcome to spend an hour in the Old Reading Room learning about the nuts and bolts of being a Folger reader with Georgianna Ziegler, Head of Reference.
1 PM My Life As a Folger Fellow
Long-term fellow Dr. Jennifer Keith shares her experiences researching at the Folger over the past 13 years, as well as her current work editing the poems of Ann Finch, one of the earliest published women poets in England.
2 PM Current Projects in Conservation
Renate Mesmer, Assistant Head of Conservation, shares her favorite current projects, including piecing together the first real encyclopedia of natural science in Polish and addressing the challenges of iron gall ink corrosion in the Medici manuscript.
3 PM Staging Shakespeare at the Folger
Michele Osherow, resident dramaturg, discusses the collaboration and adaptation involved in bringing Shakespeare from the page to the stage. Osherow has been with Folger Theatre for four seasons and has worked on such productions as The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, and Measure for Measure.
