The Folger Shakespeare Library's annual gala is its most important fundraiser of the year and, as one of Washington's most elegant social evenings, is attended by the leaders of the social, business, government, and diplomatic communities. Proceeds from the event provide vital support to the outstanding cultural and educational programming the Folger offers to the greater Washington area and beyond.
The 2010 Folger Gala will celebrate that most beloved Shakespeare play, Hamlet, inspired by Folger Theatre’s spring production. Entertainment and festivities will be followed by a black-tie dinner in the library’s beautiful Reading Rooms.
