Bring Bill's Buddies to Your School

Bill's Buddies, the Folger's educational acting troupe, has been performing Shakespeare with energy and humor for more than 30 years. The Buddies bring Shakespeare to life for all kinds of kids—elementary or high school, Shakespeare fans or theater novices.

Like the acting companies of Shakespeare's time, Bill's Buddies can travel and perform almost anywhere. Costume, sets, and props are kept to a minimum. The power of Shakespeare's language and the audience's imagination work together to create the scene.

The Buddies enhance their performance with dynamic, interactive scenes during the show. These scenes get kids up on their feet and into Shakespeare's language. Students get to speak, to act, to play with Shakespeare's language!

This year's interactive performance from Bill's Buddies will run about an hour long.

Bill's Buddies have been featured in several county showcases, and has been recommended by the DC Council for the Arts and Humanities Arts for Every Student, Arts Council of Fairfax County, Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, and the Arlington Humanities Project for young audiences.
