Folger Education's annual Shakespeare Steward Award honors outstanding contributions to the innovative teaching of Shakespeare in American classrooms.
Folger Education first presented the award to Pennsylvania teacher Sue Biondo-Hench of Carlisle High School in 2007—the 20th anniversary year of the Central Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, which she helped to establish.
