At Folger Education workshops, teachers join with their peers to learn from Folger experts in interactive, classroom-focused sessions. We offer a variety of workshops throughout the year with different approaches to Shakespeare for all ages of study!
Student-Teacher Workshop

Team up with two of your students and learn about performing Shakespeare together in this active, practical workshop. Approaching text as an actor makes a world of difference!
$75 for each team of one teacher and two students, grades 3–12.
Play in a Day Workshop

Building on interactive techniques that form the core of the Shakespeare Set Free workshop, participants will delve deeply into a Shakespearean play and explore ways to engage students in the richness of the language and the motivation of characters. Teachers will also be introduced to various editing techniques and the mechanics of blocking and staging key scenes, culminating in a performance of their work at the end of the workshop!
$35 for teams of one teacher and two students, grades 6–12.
Additional students $10.
