They Will Run With It

If you could teach any of Shakespeare's plays, which would it be? Darren McGarvey looks forward to working on A Midsummer Night's Dream with his students for many reasons.

"It's so segmented that you can assign a group of students to do the mechanicals, and a group of students to do the lovers, and a group of students to do the forest scenes. And students can work together to figure the play out."

Having fun and learning, too! That's what bringing Shakespeare to life in your classroom can accomplish! Check out more resources for teaching this play in our Play by Play page to the right.

Teacher Talk

"Themes that are timely to them, characters for them to become attached to, to get angry at, to laugh at, and to love..." This is what students can get from this play.
