Tour our historic Reading Rooms. View paintings from our Shakespeare collection, Nicola d'Ascenzo's stained-glass window inspired by Jacques's "Seven Ages of Man" speech from As You Like It,  a bust of Shakespeare based on his memorial in Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, and sixteenth and seventeenth-century Flemish tapestries.

Weighing how history is written, Robert Richmond returns to direct another of Shakespeare’s celebrated stories of the English throne. With the skeletal remains of the long-vilified king being discovered earlier this year, beneath a parking lot of all places, this staging features Drew Cortese as the Machiavellian king.

Finding Richard: Turi King and Mathew Morris

Following the amazing discovery of the remains of King Richard III, geneticist Turi King and fieldwork director Mathew Morris, both part of the Greyfriars Project that discovered Richard's body, speak on the archaeological dig and verification by DNA research. Buried for centuries, Richard's body was discovered in September 2012 beneath a parking lot in Leicester, England.

Presented in association with St. Louis University and with support from the British Council.
