Folger Theatre garners 8 nominations for the 28th Annual Helen Hayes Awards, recognizing excellence in DC area theatre

Nominees for the 28th Annual Helen Hayes Awards were announced on Monday, February 27 at a ceremony at the National Theatre, and Folger Theatre garnered eight nominations — one for Othello and seven for Cyrano, including The Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical and Outstanding Resident Play.

• Thom Weaver, Cyrano, Outstanding Lighting Design, Resident Production
• Daniel Conway, Cyrano, Outstanding Set Design, Resident Production
• Dale Anthony Girard, Cyrano, Outstanding Choreography, Resident Production
• Cast of Cyrano, Outstanding Ensemble, Resident Play
• Aaron Posner, Cyrano, Outstanding Director, Resident Play
Cyrano, The Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical
Cyrano, Outstanding Resident Play

 

The 28th Annual Helen Hayes Awards will be presented on Monday, April 23 in a ceremony at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.
