It is an evergreen that will produce flowers every summer after its second year of growth. It is an excellent culinary herb. Both the flower and leaves are used as a seasoning. Seeds will germinate in 14-21 days. Pinks “…I am the very pink of courtesy.” Romeo and Juliet These dainty ¾" pink flowers produce a profusion of perfume. The foliage is a mat of small leaves and delicate branching stems that grow 6"-10" high. Seeds germinate in 7-10 days. You should have blooms the first year and will re-bloom year after year. Viola “Who are the violets now That strew the green lap of the new come spring?” Richard II Large flowers on robust stems are lightly-scented with a wide array of colors. Removal of spent flowers will promote more blooms. Seeds will germinate in 8-15 days with flowers growing to 9" tall. |
