Tenor John Wiggins began his musical career as a trumpet player, desperate to avoid his father’s path as a vocalist. However, he succumbed to the siren call of German Lieder, opera and early music in graduate school and has since devoted most of his life to singing. He has sung solo and choral music in much of the US and Europe, including command performances for ambassadors in Paris and soloing with various choirs in Rome, London, Dublin and Canterbury. He continues to pursue his singing career, while maintaining a thriving teaching studio in the DC area.
