Soprano Emily Noël, lauded as “fresh-voiced” and “superb” by The Washington Post, concertizes extensively throughout North America and Europe in a wide variety of repertory. She has enjoyed recent debuts with Santa Fe Opera, Washington Bach Consort, and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and she regularly appears with Bach Sinfonia, Cathedra, Handel Choir of Baltimore, Spire Chamber Ensemble, and Santa Fe Desert Chorale. Highlights of recent concert appearances include George Crumb’s Apparition and Ancient Voices of Children with Indiana University’s New Music Ensemble; Bach’s Matthäus-Passion with Cathedra at the Washington National Cathedral; and Monteverdi’s Vespers with The Orchestra of the 17th Century. Ms. Noël's notable operatic appearances include Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto with Ente Concerti Città di Iglesias, Italia; Nora in Vaughn Williams' Riders to the Sea at the Amsterdam Grachtenfastival; and Berger in Charpentier's David et Jonathas at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Opera House. Ms. Noël received her Master of Music at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and serves on the faculty of Franklin & Marshall College.
