The staff of the Folger Shakespeare Library works together to update and maintain this site. The entire institution extends its special thanks to those members of the Folger staff serving as Web Editors, who are continuing to keep the site up-to-date and current:

Creation of the Site:
In collaboration with Swim Design Consultants of Silver Spring, Maryland, who designed and developed the site, the Folger launched this site on March 4, 2005.
Garland Scott, Head of Public Relations, led the project for the Folger with the technical assistance of Mary Bloodworth, Information Technology Services Administrator.
The web site's extraordinary image database was made possible by the great efforts of Julie Ainsworth, Head of Photography and Digital Imaging. Barbara Jacoby, the manager of the Folger Shop, worked long and hard to implement the new online shop. Esther Ferington, an editorial consultant, helped to develop the site as well as writing or editing much of the site text.
Among the many members of the Folger staff who contributed to the site's development, special thanks is due to the Folger's three curators—Erin Blake, Curator of Art; Rachel Doggett, Andrew W. Mellon Curator of Books Emerita; and Heather Wolfe, Curator of Manuscripts—and to Head of Collection Information Services Jim Kuhn and Head of Reference Georgianna Ziegler, all of whom worked tirelessly on the portrayal of the Folger collection.
Georgianna Ziegler was also instrumental in the development of the Discover Shakespeare section, as were Head of Education Janet Field-Pickering, Folger Director Gail Kern Paster, Director of Academic Programs Barbara Mowat, and Folger Editions Administrative Assistant Solvei Robertson, who also helped with the publications section. In programs, Events Publicist Annalisa Rosmarin and Assistant Head of Education Jeremy Ehrlich were instrumental in showcasing public programs and education initiatives. Intern Molly Pannell, working with Libbie Rifkin, Poetry and Lectures Coordinator, combed Folger Poetry's audio archives and developed our first web archive. Fellowships Administrator and Institute Program Liaison Carol Brobeck, Executive Director Kathleen Lynch, and Program Administrator Owen Williams played equally vital roles in presenting the Folger Institute online. Director of Education and Public Programs Janet Griffin, Librarian Richard Kuhta, and Director of Development Beverly With generously shared their time and expertise in thinking through site structure and design.
Special Acknowledgments:
The Folger would be remiss if it didn't thank Allan Shnerson, Head of Information Technology, who started the conversation of redesigning the website, and Melody Fetske, Director of Adminstrative Services and a longtime advocate for the Web, who is now serving as a webmaster to her third Folger website.
