This Bible was a present for one Rebekah Fisher from her father in 1678, perhaps for her 18th birthday. Facing each other in the book’s front endpapers are a book label noting her birth in 1660 and an inscription reading “Rebekah Fisher: Her: Booke: The Gift: of Her Father in the Year: 1678:” The remaining lower clasp of the ornate binding is engraved “Fisher 78.”
