Shakespeare for Seniors

We believe that learning doesn’t end when school does! Shakespeare for Seniors brings activities to your senior community. Serving the D.C. Metro Area, a team of docents will present information about the Folger and Shakespeare’s plays with activities perfect for any age.

1 Visit – 90 minutes ($150)

This option would give a broad look at aspects of Elizabethan Life, Shakespeare’s Theatre, and Shakespeare’s body of work with accompanying activities based on your group’s activity level and interest in the topics at hand!

4 Visits – 60 minutes each ($400)

Each visit delves more deeply into the given topics and offers further opportunity for various activities and discussions within the topics of Elizabethan Life, Theatre, Shakespeare's plays, and the Folger itself.

With a 4-part visit series, 15 active members of your group are invited to a free private tour of the Folger on the date of your choosing.

Nicola D'Ascenzo. Seven Ages of Man. Stained glass, 1932.
