Durham Folio Evidence

Shakespeare for Kids

Folger Shakespeare Library staff used their expertise to help return the Durham Folio to its rightful place at Durham University in England. The book had been stolen in 1998 and is a copy of Shakespeare's First Folio worth an estimated $2.5 million.

Folger staff found six features in the mystery Folio that matched features of the Durham Folio. Click on the pictures to see their evidence.
