Shakespeare Bas-Reliefs

Spanning the library's north façade, nine bas-reliefs by the New York sculptor John Gregory depict scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Richard III, Hamlet, and Henry IV, Part 1 .


Taken in order from left to right as you face the building, the sculptures represent the following scenes.
