The Phoenix Park Hotel is located at F and North Capitol Streets, NW, which is diagonally across from Union Station, and an easy ten minute walk to the Folger Shakespeare Library. 2. Other Lodging

Please keep in mind that Folger rates are below market price.  While there are several other places to stay on Capitol Hill, including bed-and-breakfast guesthouses, they may not be similarly priced. When searching for non-Folger housing, please consider the following search engines:

  •  Priceline.com - Using the search terms “Convention Center” and “Capitol Hill”
  •  Washington DC Bed & Breakfast Association -http://www.bedandbreakfastdc.com/ or call 877.893.3233
  • Capitol Hill Stay - www.capitolhillstay.com - for flexible term furnished apartments and houses.

Occasionally, lodging on Capitol Hill sells out for special events or becomes very expensive due to increased demand. One way to avoid this is to make your bookings well in advance.

If you are having trouble finding lodging for your stay, please contact the Reader Registrar (registrar@folger.edu), who keeps a running list of alternative housing options.
