Susan Howe

“Connections between unconnected things are the unreal reality of Poetry,” Susan Howe writes in her revolutionary work of creative scholarship, My Emily Dickinson, which won the 1985 Before Columbus Foundation Book Award. Howe’s own poetry lights out for new territories of word and image, history and lyric. Her poetry collections include Singularities, The Europe of Trusts, and most recently, The Midnight.
