Jessica Goethals

is Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Alabama. In addition to Margherita Costa, Diva of the Baroque Court, she is the co-editor and -translator, with Sara Díaz, of Costa’s The Buffoons, A Ridiculous Comedy (The Other Voice in Early Modern Europe, 2018). Her essays have appeared in Renaissance Quarterly, Renaissance Studies, Early Modern Women, The Italianist, and Versants, among others.
