Quill & Crumb is the new Folger café, located in the Great Hall. Enjoy lunch, baked goods, and snacks alongside coffee and tea service during the day, and light bites and drinks in the evening.
Hours
The café opens at 11am on days when the Folger building is open. Last call will be 30 minutes before the building closes. On evenings when there is a performance in the theater, the café will remain open through intermission. See building hours
Menu
The seasonal menu includes shareable snack plates of cheese, charcuterie, and dips; soups, salads, and sandwiches; and a variety of coffees, teas, and baked goods. The bar offers beer, wine, local cider, and assorted seasonal cocktails.
The café is run by Constellation Culinary Group, which operates a number of restaurants and eateries at American cultural institutions, including Merriweather Café at Hillwood Estate and Stir Restaurant at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The Great Hall
Quill & Crumb is located in the Folger’s historic Great Hall, which was originally designed by architect Paul Philippe Cret to resemble a gallery within a 16th-century English home. The Great Hall features strapwork plaster ceiling, oak-paneled walls, and intricately designed terracotta floors.

About the name
The name Quill & Crumb was the top vote-getter in a crowdsourced project to name the café. The Folger shared five of the 1,750 suggested names for the public to vote on, and Quill & Crumb was the overwhelming favorite.
