Your evening gathering place on Capitol Hill
Quill & Crumb is always open until 9pm on Fridays. And now, with Folger Theatre’s Measure for Measure onstage through November 1, our café will stay open through intermission on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when there is an evening performance. (The Folger is closed on Mondays).
Even if you’re not seeing the play, make the Folger your go-to spot for meeting up with friends on Capitol Hill after work. Enjoy wine, beer, signature cocktails, or non-alcoholic drinks like our spiced apple cider, paired with seasonal selections from the Quill & Crumb menu.
Last call at 7:00pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday) or 7:30pm (Friday, Saturday) for purchasing small plates, sandwiches, shareables, and salads.

Limited time! Quill & Crumb Garden
Enjoy a drink outside! Relax before your performance of Measure for Measure, or set up a unique happy hour spot with friends. The Quill & Crumb Garden menu features wine, beer, cider, signature cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and select snacks.

October 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 4-9pm. Last call at 8:30pm.
Where: East Entrance
Quill & Crumb Garden will have a bar in the East Lobby, with tables and chairs just outside the East Entrance, near the corner of 3rd St and East Capitol St SE.
Please note that food service is only available upstairs in the Great Hall.

Hours
The café opens at 11am on days when the Folger building is open. Last call will be 30 minutes before the building closes. On evenings when there is a performance in the theater, the café will remain open through intermission.
Menu
The seasonal menu includes soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as a variety of coffees, teas, and baked goods. The bar offers beer, wine, local cider, and assorted seasonal cocktails.

At the Folger for a performance? Pre-order your intermission food and beverage! Browse our menu and place your order in advance so that you can enjoy your light bites and drinks without having to wait in line. Pre-orders will be available for pick-up at a designated area of the bar.

About the Great Hall
Quill & Crumb is located in the Folger’s historic Great Hall, which was originally designed by architect Paul Philippe Cret to resemble a gallery within a 16th-century English home. The Great Hall features strapwork plaster ceiling, oak-paneled walls, and intricately designed terracotta floors.

About the name
The name Quill & Crumb was the top vote-getter in a crowdsourced project to name the café. The Folger shared five of the 1,750 suggested names for the public to vote on, and Quill & Crumb was the overwhelming favorite.
