is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her research focuses on early modern science, magic, and drama. She is currently completing a monograph titled Instinct, Knowledge, and Science on the Early Modern Stage. Her second book, Shakespeare and the Practical Arts, examines how useful knowledge in astrology, arithmetic, navigation, and farming are taken up in Shakespeare’s works.
