Kevin Mambo

Kevin Mambo (Sebastian) is known for his recent work as Sheldon on Marvel’s Luke Cage; Lynn Nottage’s productions of Mlima’s TaleRuined, and Sweat; and Junior in Fortress of Solitude. Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon (Kennedy Center nomination), The Color Purple, and Fela! In addition to his skill as a vocalist, he is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist (vocals, keys, guitar, and saxophone) and composer with Blaz, the 88 Sound, and Audio Deluxe. He co-wrote, co-composed, and directed Flying Hobos, which gained support from NASA Space Grant Consortium, State Humanities Councils, HBCU schools, and NEA, among others. He is working with Greatest Stories Never Told, which focuses on African American and women’s stories for children about overlooked American heroes. Upon completion of earning a BFA at the School of Dramatic arts at USC in Los Angeles, Mambo gained critical acclaim on Guiding Light, receiving 3 consecutive nominations and two consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Younger Actor in Drama
