Kimberley Mauldin, was named the Director of Talent and Culture in May 2022. She first joined the Folger in 2013, as the Human Resources Manager, and was quickly promoted to Head of Human Resources and then Director of Human Resources. During her tenure she has worked with leadership from across the institution on numerous large-scale institution-wide strategic initiatives, including reclassification of all positions, evaluation of pay matrix, implementation of the educational benefit, improvements to the benefits plans and revitalized the recruitment process. She continues to lead our DEIA initiatives, and as part of that work, help guide us as we look to cultivate a more, collaborative, inclusive and enriching work environment.    

Prior to joining the Folger Ms. Mauldin was the HR Manager at the Shakespeare Theatre Company for nearly 6 years, where she created their first human resources department. Additional previous experience includes human resources work at an architecture firm and with a recruiting agency, as well as a period as a professional stage manager, in San Francisco. She has presented on employment matters for the national League of Resident Theatres and the Shakespeare Theatre Association. She holds a Master of Science in Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland, Global Campus and a Bachelor of Art in Theatre and Dance from Wittenberg University. Ms. Mauldin is certified as both a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
