A great library isn’t a great library because of the materials it holds, even when they’re as astonishing as the materials that make up the Folger. It’s an extraordinary place because of the things it enables to happen. And one of the most important is community.
– Peter Holland, McMeel Family Professor in Shakespeare Studies at the University of Notre Dame
Since 2020, our major building renovation project has given us the chance to reinvent how we connect with our communities. We’re experimenting with new ways to give value to our members, whether that’s in person at the Folger or in exclusive virtual events.
As we get closer to opening our new building, your continued support is needed more than ever. We want to continue experimenting with hybrid events for our Folger communities, the foundation of all our work. The Folger relies on your generosity to help sustain our educational and cultural programs and preserve the world’s preeminent Shakespeare collection. By joining us as a member, you become a vital part of our mission.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining us on our mission to preserve, expand and share the Folger collection with more people than ever before. Together, with your support, we can achieve even more.
