Duration 8:00pm - 9:00pm (ET)

The universe of Shakespeare is bigger, more diverse, and more interesting than you or your students may realize. In this lesson, you will get a glimpse into some of the most expansive, exciting, and surprising aspects of Shakespeare’s own world and the worlds that he has turned up in since . . . one that is more diverse, more compelling, and surprising than we thought.  In some ways not unlike our worlds now.

Examine your ideas about Shakespeare’s world so that you can help your students do the same. Enlarge your students’ sense of history by studying primary source documents spanning the 1600s to the 1900s. Reflect on the wide world of Shakespeare and your – and your students’ – place in it.
