We’ll explore:
- The Context of Shakespeare’s World through treasures from the Folger Collection
- How to explore textual variants with your students by looking at three different versions of Hamlet’s soliloquy from 3.1
- Challenging William Shakespeare by putting him into conversation with other great authors like Frederick Douglass and Zora Neale Hurston.
This session will be led by Ashley Bessicks, a Literacy Coach for Baltimore City Schools in Baltimore, Maryland and Stefanie Jochman, an English teacher at Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia.
