Teachers, join us for….

  • Lessons from the forthcoming Folger Guide to Teaching Othello. You’ll be among the first people to dig into some incredibly juicy stuff that you can use in your classroom TOMORROW.
  • Ways to make the most out of key moments in the play like the handkerchief scene in 3.3 and the end of play in 5.2. Using Folger Method Essential Practices like Tone and Stress and Choral Reading will make approaching these scenes both powerful and fruitful for your students.
  • Strategies to ensure that you facilitate authentic conversations amongst your students around connections between the Early Modern Period and 2024. You’ll work through meaningful approaches to discussions around race and gender in Othello.

This session will be led by two of our fabulous mentor teachers, Noelle Cammon and David Fulco. Noelle is a high school English teacher at Heritage High School in Menifee, CA. David is a high school English teacher at The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology in New York City, New York.
