Teachers, join us for a free, one-hour virtual session on:

  • Launching students into complex texts using 20-Minute Plays. Instead of getting bogged down in comprehension quizzes or lengthy plot overviews, you can drop students right into the action from the very beginning. In this session, you will first experience a 20-Minute Play of Julius Caesar as a student and then, as a teacher, unpack how the practice works.
  • Exploring how vivid and memorable lines can be the starting point for meaningful engagement. Learn how to build your own 20-Minute Plays for a wide range of authors, whether you are teaching Shakespeare, Hawthorne, or Morrison.
  • Moving beyond introductions. 20-Minute Plays are not just a “preview.” You will see examples of how they can deepen understanding across a unit, empower students to create their own condensed plays as an assessment, and provide a flexible tool you can use all year long.
