Folger First Folio 61

Detail of printed page showing horizontal printer's ornament above

Reverend Dr. Frederick Bulley, President of Magdalen College, Oxford, acquired this First Folio in 1870. Henry and Emily Folger then purchased it from his widow, Margaret Bulley, in March 1916.

The “Bulley” copy is missing its first leaf (Ben Jonson’s verse “To the Reader”), its famous title page with Shakespeare’s portrait, and the last leaf of its final play, Cymbeline—all of which have been supplied in facsimile. Four other leaves in this copy were replaced with original leaves from other First Folios.
