DUKE, ⌜to Bertram⌝
1538 The general of our horse thou art, and we,
1539 Great in our hope, lay our best love and credence
1540 Upon thy promising fortune.
BERTRAM 1541 Sir, it is
1542 5 A charge too heavy for my strength, but yet
1543 We’ll strive to bear it for your worthy sake
1544 To th’ extreme edge of hazard.
DUKE 1545 Then go thou forth,
1546 And Fortune play upon thy prosperous helm
1547 10 As thy auspicious mistress.
BERTRAM 1548 This very day,

1551 A lover of thy drum, hater of love.
All exit.
