Long-term Fellowships
- Nine months of full-time research support
- Up to three months of the award may be taken virtually
- Terminal degree required
- Applications open September 2023
Long-term residential fellowships are designed to support scholarly research projects that would benefit from significant primary research onsite at the Folger.
Short-term Fellowships
- One, two, or three months of scholarly research support
- Fellowships may be taken onsite, virtually, or a combination of the two
- Open to ABD PhD Candidates, or international equivalent
- Applications open October 1, 2023
Short-term applicants may apply for 1, 2, or 3 months of research support. The requested months may be all onsite, all virtual, or a hybrid of the two. Artistic Fellowships
- One, two, or three months of research support
- Fellowships may be taken onsite, virtually, or a combination of the two
- No formal degree required
- Applications open October 1, 2023
