Get ready to strike your best Shakespearean pose! 

Inspired by our current exhibition, Imagining Shakespeare: Mythmaking and Storytelling in the Regency Era, families will recreate the artwork on display together through creative movement and acting, bringing Shakespeare’s words and scenes to life. Explore the galleries and prep your acting chops to capture your own “snapshot” of a Shakespearean scene! No acting experience requiredjust imagination and a willingness to play! 

Attendance is free with a recommended $3 donation. There are two sessions available with these recommended ages:

11:30am – 12:30pm  |  recommended ages 5-7 

1:00pm – 2:00pm  |  recommended ages 8-11

Displayed together for the first time since 1805, 14 paintings from the influential Boydell Shakespeare Gallery in London will be on view at the Folger, offering visitors the chance to consider both the stories Shakespeare created and the stories that were created about him.
