This is your chance to contribute to our current exhibition, Imagining Shakespeare: Mythmaking and Storytelling in the Regency Era!

Families will start by adding dramatic flair to scenes from Shakespeare’s plays. Then, we will use our artistic skills to create performance-inspired artwork that will be displayed in the Stuart and Mimi Rose Rare Book and Manuscript Exhibition Hall, alongside paintings depicting famous Shakespearean scenes.

Attendance is free with a recommended $3 donation. There are two sessions available with these recommended ages:

11:30am – 12:30pm  |  recommended ages 5-7

1:00pm – 2:00pm  |  recommended ages 8-11

Displayed together for the first time since 1805, 14 paintings from the influential Boydell Shakespeare Gallery in London will be on view at the Folger, offering visitors the chance to consider both the stories Shakespeare created and the stories that were created about him.
