His award-winning short films have appeared in over forty festivals around the world including Sundance, Beloit, San Paolo, Nashville, Heartland, and Cleveland International. Michael is a Fox Fellow and 2011 recipient of the Charles Bowden Award for continued excellence in New York Theatre, and a 2014 O’Neill Semi-Finalist.
