Join us for an evening of lively theater talk as Washington Post chief theater critic Peter Marks sits down with director Eric Tucker to discuss the stripped-down staging of Shaw’s classic Saint Joan—and bringing the highly acclaimed production to the Folger. The two will also speak about the success of Eric’s Bedlam theater in New York, bringing Jane Austen to the stage, approaching Shakespeare and other classic authors for a modern audience, and more.
Have your questions ready – there will be an audience Q&A following the conversation.
Peter Marks joined The Washington Post as its chief theater critic in 2002. Prior to that he worked for nine years at The New York Times, on the culture, metropolitan and national desks, and spent about four years as its Off-Broadway drama critic.
